7th Grade Honors Science

Dear students, I’m so happy to welcome all of you back to school. Nothing makes my day brighter than to see you all in the classrooms. I hope you all come to school with happy smiles.  We will be thinking like scientists by making observations, explaining our reasoning & evidence, and testing ideas. We’ll use written articles, interactive models, and hands-on activities to reach our learning goals.

To succeed in this class, you will need to develop your skills in critical thinking, problem solving, listening, and teamwork. Our “Amplify” Science Curriculum is like a textbook you write for yourself, so note-taking skills are key. Be proactive - ask for help as you go along! Recognizing when you do and don’t understand will be a big help in science (and other) classes. Your groupmates, classmates, and I are all here to make sure we understand the content and can communicate what we have learned. Everyone can “do” and learn science - but like any skill, it will take practice.
