Intervention Overview
Welcome to Intervention!
School interventions allow teachers to address gaps in a student's knowledge and barriers to their progress. When a need has been identified, school intervention will help overcome these barriers to their learning.
Students eligible for Intervention are identified through data analysis (Benchmark, iReady, SBAC) and teacher observations. Targeted assessments are then used to further identify which of the eligible students can best benefit from participating in Intervention.
Intervention instruction occurs in cycles. There will be a total of four cycles throughout the school year. The length of each cycle varies—around seven to ten weeks.
Intervention Cycles
Cycle 1: August 26 - October 10
Cycle 2: October 14 - December 20
Cycle 3: January 6 - March 14
Cycle 4: March 17 - May 23
About Me
Hello, I am Ms. Smith! I am the Intervention teacher at Warm Springs Elementary.
To some, I may look familiar—I have taught kindergarten and second grade at James Leitch Elementary, prior to moving here to Warm Springs.
When I am not teaching, you can find me reading, taking Pilates or yoga classes, hiking, traveling, eating sweet treats, or drinking boba.
