The English Language Advisory Committee is a school level committee for parents and guardians, staff and community members of Multilingual Learners designated to advise school officials on English learner programs and services.  ELAC meets four times a year. 

The responsibilities of ELAC:

•  Advise the principal and staff in the development of a site plan for English learners and submit the plan to the School Site Council for consideration of inclusion in the School Plan for Student Achievement. 

• Assisting in development of the schoolwide needs assessment.

• Ways to make parents aware of the importance of regular school ascendance.

• Each ELAC shall have the opportunity to elect at least one member to the District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC).
