I am proud to serve as the Assistant Principal at Walters Middle School. My goal is to help create a positive school environment where students feel safe, supported, and motivated to learn, and where teachers feel empowered to do their best work. I look forward to partnering with our students, staff, and families to make this a successful school year.
I was raised in Fremont and am a proud graduate of Mission San Jose High School. I love being part of the Fremont community and feel fortunate to continue living here with my family, with all three of my children attending Fremont schools.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Business Management/Economics from UC Santa Cruz, my Master’s degree in Education with an emphasis in Mathematics Curriculum from CSU East Bay (along with my teaching and administrative credentials), and my Doctorate in Education from the University of San Francisco.
Outside of school, I enjoy reading, spending time with my children, watching movies, and visiting Disneyland. My weekends are often spent cheering on my kids at their baseball games and gymnastics training/competitions. And my greatest weakness? Potato chips and salsa!
Past Experiences
Before joining Walters Middle School, I taught mathematics at Bret Harte Junior High in Hayward, Kennedy High School, and Robertson Continuation High School/Vista Alternative. I also served as a Title I Intervention Specialist at Robertson/Vista. These experiences since 2005 have strengthened my commitment to supporting students at all levels and helping them succeed both academically and personally. I am extremely happy to be part of the amazing Walters team!
