Welcome to Science!

I am looking forward to working with you and your child for the year. You will be challenged to think like a scientist throughout this course. This integrated science course implements the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).  The curriculum will include Life Science, Earth and Space Science, and Physical Science. 

I believe that every student has an inherent desire to learn and it is my job to foster that desire. I plan to do this by helping your child relate what he/she is learning in class to their everyday world. The purpose of public education is to provide each student with an equal foundation of knowledge so he/she can become whatever they want to be. This is only accomplished if every child has the same foundational building blocks of learning.  I plan to build this foundation for your child’s learning.
