Mr. Vasquez:

This week, students will present their flag to the class. Also, students will be taking re-taking the test of the United States, labeling all 50 states on a map. Students will also be creating their own country, creating the map that details distance between cities and landmarks with a scale in miles.

Mrs. Palmer:

This week is the last week of school. Wednesday is field day/water day so make sure that you bring sunscreen, towel, change of clothes, etc. You can wear your swim suit to school or bring it to school. Please make sure to have a tank top and shorts over the swim suit. Lunch will be served after water day is complete.

Ms. Page:

We are starting Module 5 with fractions this week. Students can catch up on missed lessons on Zearn. They have their user names and passwords. Daily tutoring and homework time is offered at lunchtime and recess. Your student can always find extra practice with concepts at assignments.

Students nightly homework is cyclical review of previously learned concepts. Minute packets are given out on Monday and are graded each day. Corrections on homework should be included in the next night’s homework.Corrections are also checked for daily. Much of classwork is done in Math journals. It is important that students have their journals with them daily. Journals are collected most Fridays for a classwork grade.

Next week’s Math homework: No minutes this week due to parent conferences.
