For as long as I can remember I have held a love for teaching. I received my bachelor's degree in Psychology from CSU, Monterey Bay and my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Cal State Teach, Los Angeles. I started working in the education field over 14 years ago. I taught in a private school for four years, then took a few years off to raise my children, however I continued to volunteered in my children's classrooms. After sometime I began substitute teaching. I substitute taught (in short term and many long term placements) for nearly five years (in grades TK-8th). Currently I am on my second year of teaching second grade grade, prior to that I taught kindergarten for two years. I am not only a teacher, but a mother of three amazing young ladies (aged 17, 13, and 11). My girls are incredibly unique with diverse personalities and strengths. One is a dancer, another a singer and pianist, and another a true comedian! All three are genuinely kind and inclusive individuals, as I've tried my best to model them to be. Together we enjoy the outdoors, exploring, and traveling, even if it's merely in our own backyard (San Diego county). We love immersing ourselves in community involvement and frequently volunteer for community events, such as "Arts in the Park" and assisting the "Fallbrook Land Conservancy" in up-keeping our local nature preserves and parks. In addition to my own love for teaching, my husband also plays a large role as both a role model and leader by coaching football for our local high school, together we frequently attend games to support the players. I love working in the community and getting to see all the strives my students have made and continue to make throughout their years! It has been an absolute joy working with the FUESD team!
