About Me

Hello! My name is Jamie Garcia Knox and I am so excited to be teaching first grade this year! A little about myself is that I have volunteered and worked with children for about 10 years as a tutor/mentor and as a youth rugby coach! I graduated with my Liberal Studies degree and received my Multiple Subject Teaching credential from CSUSM.

My classroom will be student-centered based with a fun and safe learning environment! My goal is to make learning exciting and help engage and guide students to reach their fullest potential!

I am looking forward to our school year together!

7:50-8:15 - Attendance and Morning work

8:15-9:15-Phonemic awareness, phonics, and grammar

9:15-10:15-Reading and Reading Comprehension

9:00-9:40 PE-Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

10:15-10:35-Snack and Recess

10:35-11:00-Writing

11:00-11:50-Math

11:50-12:30-Lunch

12:30-1:00-Math continued

1:00 - 2:00 - Science, Social Studies, or Leader in Me At Home

Homework: 20 min. Freckle (ELA and Math),

and 15 min. Reading Practice
