WELCOME TO MR. ESTI'S CLASS
Welcome to my class!
Dear Parents,
I am Giovanni Esti, the Sped Teacher of your child. I am Italian. English is my second language. Like you, I have relocated many times in my life. Life has taught me the importance of being patient and merciful when I am faced with the realization that I am not part of the “majority.” This is what I bring into the classroom: faith that Life has a way to sort things out because it is sustained by an invisible and provident hand that charts the course beyond what eyes can see. Only faith sees through it and can find rest even in the midst of a storm.
This is my second year teaching at San O. It has been challenging and it has been transformative in more ways than I can express here. In your children I have seen the unique gift they bring to our world and I can only pray to be able to contribute positively to the great hope you hold for them.
I am not the only teacher of the class. I have four more teachers with me and I hope you will be able to meet them soon as well. They are dedicated and professional teachers and I have learned so much from them. They are Ms. Kim, Ms. Jasmin, Ms. Renee, and Ms. Chloe. Together we will work to make the well being of your child our first priority, always.
We will have a meet and greet event this Friday between 1:30 and 2:30. I will be at the door of Room 606 to greet you and welcome you in the classroom of your child.
Our collaboration will be vital to ensure not only that the goals will be met, but that school will be a place of charting together a course for greatness on behalf of your child.
We are supported by a competent and dedicated team of assistants. We have good reason to be confident in making this a successful school year at San O.

About Me
I was born and raised in Italy. I have left my town (picture on the left) at a young age. I wanted to go to Africa with a group of missionaries whose life inspired me. So I did for most of my life. I have learned to speak several languages and continue to learn the unspoken language of compassion and sincere empathy. This is what has taken me where I am now. To learn and explore the world from the eyes of your kids and marvel not only on where we can be on it but how we can make it more beautiful.
