Using Google Applications for Canvas Assignments
Inside of Canvas Assignments there is an option to use Google. Currently there are two ways to add Assignments with Google.
Google Cloud Assignment- created by Canvas it allows teachers to add copies of docs/slides/sheets created in Google with students. When students turn in work the teacher can grade it in Speedgrader. *Note this option is sunsetting over the next school year so use with caution.
Google Assignments LTI- created by Google it allows teachers to create assignments using an interface similar to Google Classroom. Easily add Google docs/slides/sheets for students to complete and submit. Benefit to using it now is that you have unlimited use of the plagiarism checker called Originality Reports with student assignments in Google Docs and Slides.
