Creating a New Course Sandbox
Step 1:
When you login to Canvas you will automatically be on the Dashboard. The Dashboard will contain tiles that are your courses. If it is at the beginning of when you start working with Franklin Township, you will likely see several course tiles that are blank shells. That means that when you click on them they only have students names in them, but no content.
🛑You do not do anything with those yet. We need to start a new course first, then we will get the students in your course.
Step 2:
On the right hand side of your screen you will see a button that says "Start a New Course". (if you don't see it immediately, you may need to scroll down the page on the right hand side)
When this screen pops up, you need to select which account you want your course to be associated with.
Choose the path where you work
(ex: If you work at Franklin Central Junior High, then select that account.)
Name your Course then tap Create.
Once the New Course has begun, you will see it look like the images below. The first image shows the course in the settings view. Tap the word "HOME". Once you tap HOME, you will see the second image appear.
