Station E D108 : ElevenLabs Intro
One of the main challenges in developing in-house educational materials is navigating copyright restrictions, particularly while producing listening resources. The tool "elevenlabs.io" offers an innovative solution by providing free, high-quality voiceover, dubbing, and text-to-speech options. It enables educators to easily create customized listening tracks tailored to any learning context. This 15-minute workshop is designed to demonstrate a practical, step-by-step process for generating original listening materials—from writing the initial transcript to producing a polished audio track. Participants will gain hands-on insights into the creation process, learn key tips for maximizing the platform’s features, and explore how to integrate the final products into their teaching practices.
By using this approach, instructors and curriculum developers can significantly reduce preparation time while maintaining high-quality outcomes. The session is particularly aimed at supporting the work of Modern Languages Unit members and curriculum designers, offering them a sustainable method for enhancing in-house materials without concerns over copyright infringement. This workshop will provide participants with practical skills that not only facilitate content creation but also contribute to more engaging and resourceful learning environments.
