Frye Island Golf Course
Best Municipal Island Course in Maine!
Set in the middle of Sebago Lake, Maine, the Frye Island Golf Course is 25 minutes west of Portland and just a ten minute Ferry Ride away. The Ferry handles nine cars and departs every 20-30 minutes - no reservations are required.
Many players have stated that the Frye Island Golf Course has "the best greens in Maine" despite difficult growing conditions. Non-members have also indicated they look forward to coming back to Frye Island Golf Course time and time again.
Just one stop on the Maine Golf Trail, this hidden gem was designed by the infamous Geoffrey Cornish. Although a nine hole course, it is not your typical Island Resort Course as there are plenty of challenges for all levels of play.

Water is also found on holes #2, #3, #5, and #8; however, there are landing areas for those who opt to play safer. Tight fairways will also reward players who shoot down the middle, while challenging players who don't. Overshooting the greens will also present difficulties
