As a requirement of the ARP ESSER III federal grant program, we have to maintain a return-to-school plan for the 2021-2022 school year. In addition, we are required to solicit public comment on this plan. Please review the draft of our 2021-2022 Return-to-School plan (posted below). Data shows that the pandemic has had a significant impact on student learning, both across the country and in Fruitvale ISD. Fruitvale ISD launched a comprehensive stakeholder engagement process to help determine how it should potentially spend these additional federal dollars to address unfinished learning and COVID-19 recovery. Fruitvale ISD is in the process of applying to receive this additional funding through the CRRSA ESSER II and ARP ESSER III federal grant programs. Fruitvale ISD plans to use these funds to support the intent and purpose of the said grant.
Initial public notice was given at the June 17, 2021 School Board meeting.

Fruitvale ISD will hold an ESSA and Special Education Private Nonprofit planning meeting on June 30 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the Fruitvale High School campus.

Fruitvale ISD will apply for the ESSA Consolidated Grant for the 2021-2022 school year. Fruitvale ISD plans to use these funds to support the intent and purpose of the said grant.
