Typing Unit

Knowing where the keys on the keyboard are located and being able to type in a timely manner is going to be an integral part of your success in this digital age. This marking period we will be using Typing.com to practice our typing. It is a great free website that has lessons, games and tests. While time will be set aside each day in your class warm-up you are encouraged to use the website outside of class too. You are going to find this website a fun and challenging way to learn your keys.

Unit Requirements:

Students will complete typing lessons in class with keyboard covers. In order to receive full credit for each lessons students will need to complete the lesson with at least 90% accuracy. Students will also be assessed on speed. Using a 1 minute timing students will be able be given 2 days and several attempts to beat their typing goal. We will use typing.com for the assignments and assessments.
