What is the GSA?
The Frontier Regional School Gender & Sexuality Alliance is a group of students and faculty dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive school for all LGBTQ+ students. The GSA is a safe space for LGBTQ+ students and their allies to share personal struggles and victories, discuss LGBTQ+ news and current events, and learn how to responsibly use activism to create change. Above all, the GSA is a welcoming, inclusive community for all students.
The GSA is open to grades 7-12. Younger students are encouraged to attend.
What does the GSA do?
The GSA is student-led, so we do whatever members want to do! Some examples of past events include:
- National Day of Silence
- Field trips to local GSA workshops and conferences
- Marching in the Northampton Pride Parade
- Movie nights & social events
Check out our Events page to see what we're planning this year.
I'm straight, can I still join?
Yes! The GSA values our straight allies who are committed to supporting their LGBTQ+ friends and family members. If you are interested in discussing LGBTQ+ issues and you want to make our school a safer more inclusive place, you are welcome to join the GSA regardless of your sexuality or gender identity.
