Lawrence Frolov MathQuantum Postdoctoral Fellow University of Maryland - College Park
I am a postdoctoral fellow in the MathQuantum RTG at the University of Maryland College Park.
I would like to spend my career helping physicists realize their novel ideas using rigorous mathematics.
I completed my PhD in 2026 at Rutgers University NB under the mentorship of Shadi Tahvildar-Zadeh.
My dissertation, titled "Detection Screens Modeled by Extensions of Schrödinger Operators", developed the theory of dissipative boundary conditions to study idealized detection screens and the quantum Zeno effect in the context of the arrival time problem.
