Accessing and Downloading Resources from the Professional Library
e-Books
The Professional Library maintains over 200 professional eBooks from well-known publishers such as ASCD, Corwin, Solution Tree, and Dave Burgess. All of these titles are available via multi-user, simultaneous access. In other words, these books can be accessed from multiple individuals at the same time. No checkout necessary! See below for more detailed instructions on accessing and using the resources in the Professional Library as well as additional resources.

What Titles Do We Have?
Print Books
The Professional Library is located on the 3rd floor of the Administration building at 5515 Ohio Drive. Search the professional library catalog by clicking on the icon above and let your librarian know which book you would like. We will have it delivered to your campus via inner-school mail.
Using SORA (formerly overdrive)
Sora is the district's eBook platform for fiction books for our students. There are no adult titles in Sora, but staff are welcome to use it.
The username for Sora is your district username (not email). For example, smithb or SmithB. The username is case sensitive. If the all lowercase username does not work, try capitalizing the first letter of the last name and first letter of the first name. If neither works, contact your campus librarian or Amanda Butler at butleram@friscoisd.org.
Research Databases
All FISD staff have access to the same databases as the students as well as education-specific resources such as Educator's Reference Complete by Gale. See below for information on how to access these resources.
