SCIENCE: We will investigate and explain how equal and unequal forces acting on an object cause patterns of motion and transfer of energy.

READING: We will use context within and beyond a sentence to determine the relevant meaning of unfamiliar words or multiple-meaning words. 

WRITING: We will compose informational texts, including brief compositions that convey information about a topic, using a clear central idea and genre characteristics and craft.

SOCIAL STUDIES:   We will analyze the causes and effects of events prior to and during the American Revolution, including the taxation resulting from the French and Indian War and the colonist response to taxation such as the Boston Tea Party.
