Mission: Positively impact and advance each student every day.
Vision: Foster one's greatest potential.
The art lesson engages students actively in learning by helping them develop their artistic abilities through structured practice and equipping them with the skills to master two-point perspective. By encouraging students to draft, receive feedback, and make improvements, it fosters a supportive environment for positive growth, aligning with our mission to positively impact each student's progress every day.
The orchestra concert aligns to the Vandeventer Middle School vision of fostering one’s greatest potential by showcasing the opportunities provided to students to excel in the arts. The concert highlights how we create an environment where students can cultivate and express their musical talents, thereby encouraging personal growth, collaboration, and the pursuit of their individual passions.

FISD Takes Threats Seriously
When students make a threat to a campus, even via social media, the District and campus move quickly to address them. Watch Frisco Police discuss why words matter.
Parents are encouraged to remind children that while they may be “joking” about having a weapon or threatening harm to a school campus, the punishment by law is, at minimum, a Class A misdemeanor, punishable by a fine of up to $4,000 and up to a year in jail. The punishment can be as severe as a third-degree felony, punishable by up to $10,000 and two to 10 years in prison.
Frisco ISD supports the Frisco Police Department's full prosecution of any individual who threatens harm to our students, staff, and campuses.

Part of our initiative this year involves seeing classroom organization systems in other MS Art rooms since we are singletons on our campuses. Thank you to the MS Art PLC team, Vandeventer MS & Principal Taylor for hosting. And, a special thank you to Mr. Draper for leading the first portion of our collaborative time together." ~ Leanne Rainey, VMS Art and MS Art Lead
