Vertical Art Show
The Liberty High School cluster's "Vertical Art Show" was held on Tuesday March 5th. There were over 30 works of art from Vandeventer students on display. Each year, administrators from the district view the show and select works of art as "Honor Gallery" recipients (a "best in show" accolade). Vandeventer had two students receive this prestigious honor: Kathryn R. (Art 1-pictured top left) and Melody Z. (Art 2-pictured bottom left). Congratulations, Kathryn and Melody. Also, congratulations to all the students who had their art work displayed and to Mrs. Rainey for all the hard work and guidance to our visual art students this year!
Choir Receives Sweepstakes at UIL Contest
This week, the Vandeventer Middle School Tenor Bass and the Bella Voce Choir performed wonderfully at UIL! Tenor Bass received a "2" (excellent) for their stage performance and a "1" (superior) for their sight reading performance! Bella Voce received a "1" for their stage performance and a "1" for their sight reading performance. This is commonly referred to as a "Sweepstakes"! Both choirs received glowing comments from their judges and new awards to add to our Choir room trophy shelf.
Congratulations, to the Tenor Bass and Bella Voce Choirs! And, a special thank you to Holly Cotten, the VMS Choir Director, for guiding our students to success!
