Cross Country Season starts October 16th!

The first cross country practice will be held on October 16th at 7:30AM (boys) and 3:45PM (girls). For the morning practice, parents may drop athletes off by the tennis courts. Student athletes who have not submitted a physical must bring this documentation to the first practice.

Parents can now order replacement student badges directly from the photographer! Simply log in at www.soimagesphoto.com where school pictures are ordered. The Tech Depot is open daily before school from 8 a.m. - 8:20 a.m. and during Viking Time on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:31 p.m. - 2:13 p.m. Tech Depot is closed on Monday and Wednesday afternoons.

National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM), launched in October 2004, continues to raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity across our Nation, ensuring that we all have the resources we need to be safer and more secure online. The overarching theme for Cybersecurity Awareness Month 2023 is “Secure Our World.”

This program makes fundraising easy by donating to local organizations based on the shopping you do every day. Once you link your Card to an organization, all you have to do is shop at Kroger and swipe your Shopper’s Card. Here’s how it works:

Create a digital account.
- Create an Account via www.kroger.com
- A digital account is needed to participate in Kroger Community Rewards.
Link your Card to an organization.
- Sign in to your digital account.
- Enter the name or NPO number (YM170) Vandeventer Middle School PTA
- Select the appropriate organization from the list and click “Save”.
Your organization earns.
- Any transactions moving forward using the Shopper’s Card number associated with your digital account will be applied to the program, at no added cost to you. Who's Who at Vandeventer

Stephanie Taylor, Principal

Ms. Taylor began her career in education in 1997 with Irving ISD after receiving her bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Dallas. After several years as a teacher and coach, she obtained her master’s degree in Educational Administration from the University of North Texas and continued in Irving as a middle school assistant principal. In 2006, she transitioned to Dallas ISD where she worked in various leadership roles until moving to the Frisco area. The 2023-2024 school-year marks Ms. Taylor's fifth year as the Vandeventer Middle School principal.
