Meet The Teachers

Welcome to 5th grade at Newman! I love teaching at Newman because of the students I work with each day and the families I have been able to work with since we opened the doors eleven years ago.  In the twenty plus years I have been teaching, I've spent most of my time in 5th grade.   Before that, I taught middle school in McKinney ISD.  

When I am not at school I enjoy movies, reading, food, photography, and spending time with family. 

Greetings Newman 5th Grade! My name is Zack Schraub and I am so excited to be a part of Newman again this year! I graduated from The University of North Texas with a degree in elementary education. I have taught 2nd and 5th grade in Frisco ISD . I am thrilled to be teaching 5th grade again this year!  My wife, daughter Lila, son Hollis and I live in Lake Dallas. When I am not at school I enjoy  fishing, camping, gardening and cooking.  I also dabble in video games. I am a huge baseball fan and a massive Texas Rangers fan.  We are going to have a fantastic year together in 5th grade!

Welcome to 5th grade!

I have more than 20 years of teaching experience in grades 2nd - 5th.  Most of my teaching time was spent in Carrollton-Farmers Branch with a quick stop in Katy, Texas. 

I graduated from The University of North Texas with a degree in elementary education.   Go Mean Green! 

At home you can find me spending time with my children and walking my Maltipoo, Teddy.  For fun I love to go to the movies and  travel to new places.  While on vacation, you can find me taking a tour to learn about the culture and history of the area. I am also a big foodie, so I enjoy trying new restaurants!

Hey 5th Grade! My name is Emily Reneau, and I am a Texas State University honors graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. This is my 8th year teaching (all at Newman!), and I couldn’t be more excited to continue my career with our fifth grade students at the best school! I am married to my high school sweetheart Logan, a mom to a 1 year old baby girl Leighton, and a loving dog mom to a Mini Aussie named Paisley and a German Shorthaired Pointer named Nala. I love traveling and spending time with friends & family. I am most importantly looking forward to another amazing year here at Newman Elementary!
