1. Tongues are not necessary for salvation, 1 Corinthians 12:3.
2. The believers who are the most spiritual are not those that have the Gift of Tongues, 1 Corinthians 12:1.
3. Tongues is not a sign of spirituality, 1 Corinthians 12:1-3.
4. Tongues should never be confused with the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, 1 Corinthians 12:13.
5. Tongues should not cause others believers who do not possess the gift to feel inferior, 1 Corinthians 12:15,16.
6. Tongues should not cause the user to feel superior to other believers, 1 Corinthians 12: 21.
7. Even when tongues was operational, [between 30 - 70 A.D], not everyone was given this gift. It was not the norm for the Christian Way Of Life, 1 Corinthians 12:14:10,14,30.
8. Tongues are the least of all spiritual gifts, 1 Corinthians 12: 28.
9. Tongues can only be effective when used under the filling of the Holy Spirit, 1 Corinthians 13:1-3.
10. Tongues was a temporary spiritual gift, 1 Corinthians 13: 8.
11. The abuse of tongues required regulations to be set up for its use in public worship in 1 Corinthians 14: 26-40.
