God's Plan is Gracious

GOD’S PLAN IS GRACIOUS

1. Definition

The plan of God operates on the policy of Grace. Grace is the sum total of all that God does for us based on Christ's substitutionary, sacrificial, spiritual death on the cross.

2.  Documentation

Titus 2:11–13

11] FOR THE GRACE OF GOD has appeared, bringing salvation to all men,

12] instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age,

13] looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus,

3.  Meditation

He provides common Grace to all so that they may have an opportunity to be saved.

Apart from the ministry of common Grace, no one could comprehend the gospel, and no one would be saved, 1 Corinthians 2:14; John 16:8-10; Hebrews 6:4.

He provided the Gospel of Grace to enter us into saving Grace, Ephesians 2:8,9.

He provides logistical Grace to keep us alive in the devil’s world, Philippians 4:19.

   He provides dying Grace as we prepare to enter eternity, Psalm 23:4;116:15;

He provides surpassing Grace while in eternity, Ephesians 2:7.

God does the work; man reaps the benefit.

God’s great love motivates all that He does.  He offers to all salvation unconditionally, “Whosoever will come.”

Romans 10:13

for “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

It is not His desire that any perish!

2 Peter 3:9

The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.

4. The Drill: Discipline yourself to Godliness

Trouble has a way of unsettling us. Life, at times, looks out of control. Sometimes, I find

myself confused and perplexed. If so, take these actions:

1st: By Claiming the promises

I turn to God. I bring Him into the picture by claiming the promise in Romans 8:28. From that promise, I recognize that God is at work. God has a plan, and all this confusion in my life and circumstances relates to that plan.

2nd: By Concentrating on the rationale

God’s plan is not about me; it is all about Him.

God’s plan operates based on Grace, not our works. We have not earned, deserved, or merited anything in the plan of God.

My life, eternal security, and destiny all depend on the Grace of God.

 Hallelujah, what a Savior!
