Section 1 - Basis and Foundation
The Word of God in its entirety is the basis and foundation of this site and is summarized in the following statements:
Section 2 - The Scriptures
2.1 WE BELIEVE that the Scriptures were written by men divinely inspired by God. Moreover, we believe that inspiration was the act of God the Holy Spirit who communicated to the human writers exactly what God wanted written. Furthermore, we believe that God the Holy Spirit so supernaturally directed the writers of Scripture that without waving their human intelligence, their individuality, their literary style, their personal feelings, or any other human factor, God's own complete and coherent message to man was perfectly recorded in the original writings.
See 2 Samuel 23:2,3; Isaiah 59:21; Jeremiah 1 :9; Matthew 22: 42,43; Mark 12: 36; Acts 4:2-4,25; 28:25; 2 Peter 1: 19, 21.
2.2 WE BELIEVE that the Scriptures are infallible (they are incapable of error) and inerrant (they are free of error) and that these extend to every word of Scripture.
See 1 Corinthians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:15 -17; John 10:33 - 36; Matthew 5:18.
2.3 WE BELIEVE that the Scriptures are the absolute and unfailing standard for all matters of faith, conduct, and by which all opinion will be tried.
See 2 Timothy 2:14 -19; 3:14 -17; John 12:47,48.
Section 3 - The Godhead
WE BELlE\/E in one triune God, existing in three Persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, eternal in being, identical in nature, equal in power and glory and having the same attributes and perfections.
See Deuteronomy 6:4, 5; Psalm 83: 18; Matthew 28: 19, 2 Corinthians 13: 14.
Section 4 - The Person and Work of Jesus Christ
WE BELIEVE that the Lord Jesus Christ, the etemal Son of God, became man without ceasing to be God, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful man; that He accomplished our redemption through His death on the Qoss as a substitutionary sacrifice; that our redemption is made sure to us by His literal physical resurrection from the dead; that the Lord Jesus Christ is now in heaven, exalted at the right hand of God, where, as the High Priest for His people, He fulfills the ministry of Representative, Intercessor, and Advocate.
See John 1:1,2,14; Luke 1 134,35; Romans 3:24.25; 4:25; 1 Peter1 :3-5; Hebrews 9:24; 7:25; Romans 8:34; 1 John 2: 1 ,2.
Section 5 - The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit
5.1 WE BELIEVE He is a Person, possessing all of the attributes of personality and diety.
5.2 WE BELIEVE that the Holy Spirit convicts the unsaved of sin, righteousness, and judgment; that He regenerates all who believe in Christ; and in this present age indwells dl believers, baptizes them into the body of Christ, seals them until the day of redemption, imparts spiritual gifts; and that it is the duty of every believer to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
See John 16:8 -11; 3:6- 8; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 6: 19; 12: 1 -13; Ephesians 1:13,14; 4:30; 5:18; Titus 3:5.
Section 6 -The Total Depravity of Man
6.1 WE BELIEVE that man was created in the image and likeness of God as a special act and did not evolve.
See Genesis 1: 26 - 28.
6.2 WE BELIEVE that in Adam's sin, the human race fell, inherited a sinful nature, became alienated from God, and is totally unable to retrieve its lost condition.
See Romans 5: 12 -19; 3:22.23; Ephesians 2:12.
Section 7 - Salvation
WE BELIEVE that salvation in every dispensation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose all-sufficient death on the Cross provided man‘s reconciliation to God.
See Ephesians 1:7; 2:8 -10; John 1: 12.
Section 8 - The Eternal Security of Believers
8.1 WE BELIEVE that all believers are kept secure forever.
8.2 WE BELIEVE that Eternal Security is the believer‘s inheritance through the work of Christ on the cross, which provides a salvation in which the believer is and always will be eternally kept.
See John 5:24; 10:27-29; Romans 8:29 - 39, Jude 1 :24,25.
Section 9 - The Universal Church
WE BELIEVE that the Universal Church, which is now the body of Christ and will be the bride of Christ; is a spiritual organism made up of all born-again persons of the Church age irrespective of the Christian organization or their denominational affiliation.
See Ephesians 1:22.23; 5:25 - 30; 1 Corinthians 12:12 -14; Revelation 19:7 - 9.
Section 10 - The Local Church
10.1 WE BELIEVE that the local church is a congregation of believers, associated together on a profession of faith for worship, service, and fellowship; that it is sovereign in polity; governed by God's laws; observing the ordinances of Christ; and exercising the gilts, rights, and privileges invested in them by His Word.
See Matthew 28: 18- 20; Acts 2: 41,42, 1 Corinthians 11 :2; Ephesians 4:7; Philippians 1 :27.
10.2 WE BELIEVE that baptism is the total immersion in water of a believer, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; that its purpose Is to show forth our faith in the crucified, buried, and risen Savior, and it signifies our death to sin and resurrection to new life.
See Matthew 28:19; Acts 8: 36 - 39; 10:47,48; Romans 6:3,4; Colossians 2 12.
10.3 WE BELIEVE that the Lord's Supper is a memorial given to the local church for the edification of believers by the use of the bread and cup which commemorates the Person and work of Christ on the cross. The observation of this ordinance is to be preceded by a solemn self-examination.
See Matthew 26:26 - 30; 1 Corinthians 11 :23 - 34.
Section 11 - The Resurrection
WE BELIEVE that the soul and human spirit of those who have believed in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation do at death immediately pass into His presence, and there remain in the conscious bliss until the resurrection of the body at His coming, when soul, human spirit, and body reunited will be associated with Him forever, but the souls of unbelievers remain after death in conscious misery until final judgment of the Great White Throne at the close of the Millennium, when soul and body reunited will be cast into the Lake of Fire, not to be annihilated, but to be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power.
See Luke 16: 19 - 26; 23:43; John 5:28,29; 1 Corinthians 15:51 - 53; 2 Corinthians 5:8; Philippians 1:23; 1 Thessalonians 4:13 -15; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9; Jude 6,7; Revelation 20 11-15.
Section 12 - Spirituality Of Believers
12.1 WE BELIEVE that spirituality is an absolute condition in the life of a believer in this dispensation wherein he is filled or controlled by the Holy Spirit, walking in love and fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
12.2 WE BELIEVE that spirituality is distinct from maturity, that a believer becomes carnal through any act of mental, verbal, or overt sin, and that spirituality (fellowship with Christ) is restored solely by personal confession of that sin to God the Father.
See John 15:7,8; 1 Corinthians 5:6; Galatians 5:16; Ephesians 5:18; Romans 6:11-13; 1 John 1 :5, 9; 2:2; 1 Corinthians 11: 30,31.
Section 13 - Responsibility of Believers
WE BELIEVE that the primary goal of every believer alter salvation is "to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ," to the end that his life is consistent with the Lord's plan, thus bringing both blessings to the believer and honor to the Lord.
See 2 Peter 3:18.
Section 14 - Spiritual Gifts
WE BELIEVE that God the Holy Spirit in grace and apart from human merit sovereignly bestows spiritual gifts to all believers for the purpose of ministry.
See 1 Corinthians 12,13; Ephesians 4:7-12; Romans 12:4-8, 1 Peter 4: 10.
Section 15 -The Blessed Hope
WE BELIEVE that the next great event in the fulfillment of prophecy will be the coming of the LORD JESUS in the air to receive to Himself the dead in Christ and believers who are alive at His coming, otherwise known as the Rapture and translation of the church. This occurs before the Tribulation.
See 1 Corinthians 15:51-57; 1 Thessalonians 4: 13-18; Titus 2: 11-14; 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3; Revelation 3:10.
Section 16 - The Tribulation
WE BELIEVE that the Rapture of the church will be followed by the fulfillment of Israel's seventieth week, the latter half of which is the time of Jacob's Trouble, the Great Tribulation.
See Daniel 9:27; Jeremiah 30:7; Matthew 24: 15-21; Revelation 6-19.
Section 17 -The Second Coming of Christ
WE BELIEVE that the Great Tribulation will be climaxed by the pre-millennial return Of the LORD JESUS CHRIST to earth to set up His kingdom.
See Zechariah 14:4 -11; Matthew 24: 15-25; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10; Revelation 19: 11-21.
Section 18 - The Personality of Satan
18.1 WE BELIEVE in the existence of angels, spirit beings created by God to render worship and service to Him.
See Psalm 148: 1-5; Job 38:4-7; Revelation 5: 11, 12; Hebrews 127,14; Luke 1 :19,26.
18.2 WE BELIEVE in the personality of Satan who is the open and declared enemy of God and man, who rebelled against his Creator persuading one-third of all the angels to revolt against Him, throwing the world into chaos and calamity.
See Revelation 12:4; Genesis 1 :2; 3: 15; Isaiah 14: 12- 14; Job 1 :6, 7; Matthew 4:2-11.
18.3 WE BELIEVE Satan to be the unholy god of this age, the author of sin and evil, the ruler of this world and all fallen angels, and he along with his evil angels are destined to judgment in the Lake of Fire.
See Matthew 25:41; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Ephesians 6: 10 - 12; 1 John 3:8; John 12:31; Ephesians 2:2.
Section 19 - Apostasy
19.1 WE BELIEVE that there will be a falling away from the faith, from sound doctrine that was once delivered by the apostles and prophets. We stand for the faith as found in the Bible alone and stand against all cults, religions, and ideologies that preach not Christ.
See 1 Timothy 4: 1; 2 Timothy 3: 1-5; 4:3, 4; 1 John 2: 18-27; Jude 3-19.
19.2 We do not agree with those advocates of the Ecumenical Movement, one church regardless of cost.
19.3 We do not agree with the Charismatic Movement and its emphasis on the temporary spiritual gifts which have ceased. Some of the permanent spiritual gifts that exist today are pastor-teacher, evangelist, missionary, and administrator. We further believe that the temporary spiritual gifts ceased with the completion of the canon of Scripture, and these were apostleship, prophecy, speaking in tongues, interpreting tongues, healing, and working of miracles (I Corinthians 12, 13; Ephesians 4:7-12; Romans 12:4-8).
