Balancing athletics and academics is definitely doable as an LPS student! Many LPSers are involved in junior varsity and varsity sports while simultaneously keeping up a competitive GPA. When it comes to balancing the two, it's all about time management. Nearly every varsity sports team features a member of LPS!

Many LPS students are part of Colts Neck High School's award-winning Mock Trial team! They recently won the State Championship and represented New Jersey at the Mock Trial National Competition in Athens, Georgia. The mock trial team will be coached by Mrs. Richmond (an LPS teacher) and Bill Visone (an LPS alumnus and current county prosecutor).
Mock Trial meets during lunch and after school. In February, the team competes in the Monmouth County tournament held at the Monmouth County Courthouse.

In the student-run, student-led JSA, participants learn how to engage civilly in political discourse. They cultivate democratic leadership skills, challenge one another to think critically, advocate their own opinions, develop respect for opposing views, and learn to rise above self-interest to promote the public good. As a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization, JSA is committed to developing a diverse, cross-section of young leaders for a democratic society.
JSA meets once a week in the morning. JSAers also have the option to attend weekend conferences at Princeton University and an overnight Winter Congress in Washington D.C.

As an LPS student, you'll have the opportunity to go on LPS class trips. Past trips have included attending a production of Richard III at The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, visiting the Grounds for Sculpture, and touring the Monmouth County Correctional Institution. Beyond LPS, students have the chance to go on trips through clubs that they are apart of. Below, Alex H. looks back on some of her favorites.
Colts Neck's Basie Award winning Cougar Theatre Company produces two major productions each year: a spring musical and fall play. Below, Regan R. gives an overview of her "second home."
The CTC usually meets after school.
