Y7 ACE BADGES - How students can earn an ACE badge?

• Following on from the initial ACE lessons in Year 7, students retain their ACE passport and continue to gain signatures from staff, who acknowledge when they have shown exceptional studentship.  This can be both in and out of lesson time.   All staff (teaching and non-teaching) can sign and get involved in raising the profile of ACE and what this means for everyone.  Upon earning twenty signatures the student receives an ACE badge in recognition of their work across the academy.   This is handed out in assembly to again raise the profile of what we expect from students. 

VISUAL REFERENCE - Talking Point

• Why?  We want to raise the profile of ACE throughout the whole year: in conversations with students, explicit work in VMG, reference in assemblies and linking into STAR students in lesson time.  The ACE badge is both a visual reminder about ACE for all students and also identifies those students in Y7, who have gone above and beyond showing exemplary
