About Me

Hi there, I'm Mrs. Diaz and I teach 5th grade at West Freehold School. I have been teaching for 27 years. When you walk in my classroom you will notice a fun and bright learning environment.  I know most students don't believe I have a life outside of the school, but I do. I have two children.  My daughter is in 11th grade and my son is in 8th grade this school year.  We don't have any pets, even though they beg me for then daily.  Spending time with my family, relaxing at the beach, going for a long walk, and yoga are things I love. I also enjoy family movie nights.  When it comes to teaching, I believe in developing strong relationships that tap into students' interests.  This provides relevancy to students and allows them to make connections with the curriculum.  I also involve the students in the learning by helping them form their own ideas and come to their own conclusions.
