The Kappa Foundation of Fredericksburg is now accepting scholarship applications. This scholarship is open to all graduating male students in the city of Fredericksburg, Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania, and Stafford Counties with an ambition to attend a college or university after high school. If this is you, or you know someone who is, please encourage the student to complete an application for a chance of being selected as a 2026 Kappa Foundation of Fredericksburg scholarship winner.
Applicant:
Must be a high school graduating senior and accepted in an accredited college or university as a full-time student in the upcoming academic year.
Must have a minimum 2.7 cumulative grade point average.
Must be a male student living in the Greater Fredericksburg area.
Application Procedures:
Applicants will be required to submit an essay
The essay will be evaluated on content, impact, spelling, and grammar.
The applicant must mail a sealed official High School transcript to the following address:
The applicant must upload proof of acceptance to the college or university they will attend.
Two (2) letters of recommendation are required; one (1) from a school representative and one (1) from a community leader. You will be responsible for uploading your recommendation letters with your application.
A complete application will consist of:
All pages of the application
At least one college or university acceptance letter
Official student transcript
An essay
Two (2) letters of recommendation

The Kappa Foundation of Fredericksburg is the official philanthropic arm of the Fredericksburg (VA) Alumni Chapter of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated. The Kappa Foundation of Fredericksburg is a 501 c (3) tax-exempt Non-Profit organization. The civic purpose of the Corporation is exclusively for charitable and educational goals. More specifically, the purpose of this Corporation is to provide scholarships, educational resources, and other financial aid for students; and financial assistance to schools of higher learning. The Corporation exercises all the powers conferred upon the Corporation for charitable and educational purposes, including but not limited to the power to accept donations of money or property, whether real or personal, or any interest therein, wherever situated.
