Who may be nominated?

Any Pre-K- 12 grade teachers including school librarians, guidance counselors, intervention teachers, and instructional coaches who have been teaching in Franklin County Public Schools for at least 3 years can be nominated. Teachers holding a provisional license are not eligible.

Who may nominate a teacher?

Any colleague, student or former student may nominate. Parents of young children can help their child complete the nomination form.

Will my teacher know about the nomination?

Any teacher nominated will receive a note that they had been nominated.

If my teacher is selected as a Teacher of the Year, what happens next?

From the nominations a school level Teacher of the Year will be named for each of the elementary schools, 3 at the middle school level and 3 at the high school level. These school level Teachers of the Year will be in the running for Franklin County's Teacher of the Year to be named in April 2020.
