Honors classes are challenging courses designed to prepare students for Advanced Placement, Dual Enrollment, and other college-bound courses. Consequently, it is essential that each student be academically capable and willing to perform to this level. These courses are designed to challenge the student. Good attendance is crucial to success. The successful student will spend approximately five hours a week, in addition to the classroom, on the basic course requirements. Extra time is needed to study for assessments, read various texts, conduct online research, compose writing assignments, and prepare for presentations.
