If you haven't heard this yet today... YOU ARE AWESOME!

What is a school counselor?

At Northwood Elementary School, the counselor's job is to make sure that students are happy, healthy, and hardworking. Whether it is leading whole classes through Second Steps lessons, teaching small group or individual lessons, the school counselor's ultimate goal is to help. Students are the top priority for the counselor, day in and day out; whether it be academic, career or social-emotional learning guidance! Let me know how I can help!

There have been some changes in the nest!

Northwood Elementary School is home of the Owls. HOOT! We like to refer to our school as "The Nest," as we are all Owls here! Other than our fun mascot, we have a furry friend that will be joining us each day as we learn. Hiro, the FCS therapy dog, photographed in the picture on the right with Mrs. Richardson, is excited to help you learn, grow, regulate emotions, and celebrate your wins!
