About Mrs. Macy

Hello, I'm Mrs. Macy!

I have been teaching for over 20 years in schools and private studios.  I have a Bachelor of Music degree in music education and violin performance from the Eastman School of Music, and a Master of Music degree in violin performance from The Conservatory at SUNY Purchase. 

I have taught in the New Providence and Bergenfield School districts, and currently teach at Eastern Christian Schools. I am a freelance violinist, performing in the greater NYC area.

Teaching Philosophy

I find joy in making music with students of all ages. Musical studies are an invaluable part of a well-rounded education, and I am honored to have a role in this important work.
