Educational Philosophy
My philosophy of teaching and learning is that education is a journey. The processes that students learn along the way during their educational journey are the most important and most valuable part of their education. Science, by nature, is very process orientated and the journey of the scientific method is often more important than the end result of the experiment - what can we learn along the way that will help us to better understand the world around us? I often tell my students and my own 3 children that mistakes are our best teachers and that everyday is a school day - a chance to learn something new!
The District recognizes the importance of homework as part of the educational process and has adopted in Regulation 2330 that establishes homework guidelines. Homework posted on this website is as up to date as practically possible, is subject to revision, and serves as a guide for students and parents.
