Family STEAM

Each month, I will send home a new STEAM challenge.  This is an exciting opportunity for families to think like engineers, scientists, artists, and mathematicians.

The goal of these activities is for families to problem solve, think critically, and more of all have fun!  Projects will be shared for all to see.

Students may complete these challenges alone, but family involvement is encouraged!  I hope you will embark on this exciting learning adventure with us!

I look forward to seeing your creations!

May STEAM Challenge

Challenge: Did you know that May 13, is National Miniture Golf Day? For May's Family STEAM Challenge, work together to design a desktop mini golf hole for us to play! Have fun and be creative.

Follow the Engineering Design Process. Use this graphic to assist you.

Materials: You have the freedom to use any materials that will help you complete this challenge! You can use a shoebox, cardboard, felt, straws, popsicle sticks, or any other items you choose.  Don't forget to send in a mini ball for your hole too!  See pictures below for some ideas!

You may send in your golf hole designs to your school's library no later than the end of the month!

Have fun!
