Welcome to the Franklin Academy K-12 9-12 Summer Reading site! Summer is a great opportunity to relax with a good book. Remember, learning does not stop in the summer. The grades listed on this site are the ones you will be in for the 2025-2026 school year.

Reading Requirements

These books have been carefully curated and will tie into what you will be learning in your classes next year. The assignments will be graded during the first two weeks of school, so it's important to read the works. All students must read one mandatory book and choose one from the reading choice page.

Skills Development

Dialectical Journals and annotating are skills that will go a long way in improving your comprehension skills. Make sure to practice these as you read.
