I experience that meaningful conversations unfold well when the setting supports presence, ease, and connection. One way I intentionally shape such settings is by integrating handcrafted sweets such as a piece of fruit pie or cake into a coaching session. A shared dessert can, is what I learned, shift the quality of a conversation: It invites people to slow down, to arrive more fully, and to engage with greater openness. In this way, baking becomes a kind of extension of my coaching approach - creating conditions in which dialogue becomes more grounded, human, and productive. This integration can take different forms. In some sessions, a dessert accompanies the conversation, adding warmth and focus. In others, cooking together becomes part of the coaching process itself - offering a natural space to reflect and collaborate.
