- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical or marine engineering is an advantage
- With hands-on experience in engine repair (marine or skiff experience is a plus)
- Basic knowledge of engine systems (fuel, lubrication, cooling, electrical)
- Can read and understand manuals and diagrams
- Knows how to use basic tools and measuring instruments
- Physically fit and able to work in demanding environments, including onboard vessels
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Willing to work flexible hours and perform field or on-site repairs when needed "
- Troubleshoot and diagnose engine problems
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Repair and service engines and parts
- Use tools and measuring instruments properly
- Keep work area and tools clean and organized
- Follow safety procedures at all times
- Assist with other mechanical tasks as needed"
