- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on refrigeration units, HVAC systems, conveyors, and other equipment used in cold storage operations, following maintenance schedules and manufacturer guidelines to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions, electrical issues, and mechanical failures using diagnostic tools and techniques, and implement corrective measures to resolve problems and minimize downtime.
- Conduct repairs, adjustments, and component replacements on equipment and systems as needed, including compressors, motors, sensors, valves, and control panels, to restore functionality and prevent equipment failure.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns, malfunctions, and emergencies promptly, assess the situation, and take appropriate actions to mitigate risks, ensure safety, and minimize disruptions to operations.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment, machinery, and facilities to identify potential issues, safety hazards, or maintenance needs, and report findings to maintenance supervisors for follow-up
- Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies necessary for maintenance and repairs, monitor stock levels, and requisition additional supplies as needed to support maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inspections, repairs, and replacements, ensuring documentation is up-to-date and accessible for reference and compliance purposes.
- Certification in refrigeration systems or HVAC-R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration) can demonstrate specialized expertise and enhance credibility in cold storage maintenance.
- Graduate in Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or any Engineering couse is a plus.
