This meeting will bring together current and past Ramón y Cajal Fellows at the University of Barcelona. The meeting will showcase the quality, diversity, and breadth of this research community at the University. The event aims to create a space for sharing and discussing the diverse research lines currently being developed across the different faculties of the University. Researchers from a wide range of disciplines -including Economics, Chemistry, Physics, Pharmacy, Medicine, Geology and History, Psychology, among others- will participate in the meeting.
Beyond showcasing scientific excellence, the event also seeks to foster reflection on key aspects of our teaching and research activities, promoting discussion around the challenges and opportunities associated with academic careers before and after stabilization within the university system.
The program will include short scientific talks designed to encourage interdisciplinary exchange, as well as a dedicated session providing a global overview of how the Ramón y Cajal program has evolved over the past five years. Particular attention will also be given to funding opportunities at European level, more specifically in the Horizon Europe program.
The meeting will have a poster session aimed at presenting and discussing the wide variety of research lines led by RyC researchers (two poster awards of 200€ will be given, one to the (i) Best research poster award and the other to the (ii) Best teaching poster award). This session will highlight the transdisciplinary nature of our community while fostering synergies and identifying potential collaborations among participants. Finally, a round-table discussion will address topics such as stabilization processes, internationalization, and the future projection of RyC researchers within the University of Barcelona.
