ARTIST EMERGENCY FUND

This is an extraordinary time. The COVID-19 pandemic has forced cancellations of theater classes and performances across the country, including in our own Northern Colorado community. The crisis has also caused the closures of restaurants, retail stores, and a number of other businesses in our community. As a result, many local theater educators, actors, stage mangers, technical designers, directors, theater volunteers, and more, have been negatively impacted financially.

The mission of Fort Collins Children’s Theatre (FCCT) is to engage the Northern Colorado community in live, family-friendly theatre and story while providing safe spaces for personal and cultural growth. We cannot carry out our mission without the hard work and dedication of these same theater educators, actors, and others who bring joy to students and audiences through their craft. To aid those in the community who have aided us through the years, and to do our part to help ensure live theater and story can continue in our community, FCCT has established the Fort Collins Children’s Theatre Artist Emergency Fund, seeded with $600 from FCCT. Theater community members who have suffered a significant economic loss due to COVID-19 and who have previously worked with FCCT in any form, whether as actor, educator, director, volunteer, or other capacity, may apply for a one time stipend to be distributed in an amount of $100 on a first come, first served basis while funds are available.

Eligibility requirements include:

  • Has previously worked with FCCT in some capacity (theater educator, actor, technical crew, volunteer, director, technical designer, and similar)

  • Has suffered significant economic loss due to COVID-19

  • Must not be employed or contracted in full-time work
