While Eureka Math Squared integrates all of the components listed in the image above, it is highly recommended that teachers use a set of engaging low-floor, high-ceiling tasks over the first seven days of school to methodically introduce these routines and expectations to students. Therefore, a mini-unit consisting of several “thinking tasks” was designed to allow students the opportunity to ease into these routines and expectations without the pressure of acquiring new content knowledge.
By the end of Unit 0, you will have created a strong foundation for reasoning and problem-solving to flourish in your classroom,
thus priming your students to fully embrace the Forsyth County Schools Vision for Elementary Math.
