I am excited to share that I have returned to work!
I'm using this site as a way to share my current Fordham projects.
Dialysis saved my life.
Help me raise money for the American Kidney Fund to make a difference to others in need.
I experienced Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) the beginning of the Fall 2017 semester when I was in the hospital being treated for double pneumonia and sepsis. I was kept sedated and placed on an ECMO machine while receiving dialysis. I’ve since regained kidney function and no longer need dialysis, but so many others are not as fortunate.
During the month of March family, friends, and colleagues sponsored me in the Star Wars Virtual Half Marathon by donating to the American Kidney Fund (AKF). I am delighted to share that I raised $574 during that campaign.
Every day, patients undergoing dialysis receive direct support from the American Kidney Fund (AKF) so they can continue in their fight for survival. AKF’s support helps ensure that every patient has health insurance and access to lifesaving care. Your donation in support of my campaign provides a lifeline of care to these patients who face incredible obstacles.
Charity Navigator has not only given AKF a 4-star rating for the past 15 years, but they have also named AKF as one of the top 10 charities in the United States. They spend 97 cents of every donated dollar on patients and programs.
