equation - a number sentence with an equals (=) sign. For example: 2a + 5 = 11
LHS - abbreviation for the left hand side of an equation – the LHS of the above equation is 2a + 5
RHS - abbreviation for the right hand side of an equation – the RHS of the above equation is 11
pronumeral - A letter (or combination of letters) used as a placeholder for a number (or many possible numbers).
E.g. In 2x + 5, x is the pronumeral.
Linear equation - a linear equation is a relationship between variables which produces a straight line when plotted.
The annotation in this video is a little different to our module but you if you like the way they show flow charts here then it's ok to use this method instead!
A really clear video on how graph linear equations. Note that they use the pronumeral "b" to represent the y-intercept, we usually use "c" in Australia but it's the same thing.
