prism - a shape with a floor, ceiling and walls. The floor and ceiling have to be the same shape, and the walls have to be straight. The shape on the floor and ceiling give the prism its name.
rectangular prism - a prism with the roof and floor (opposite ends) in the shape of a rectangle.
triangular prism - a prism with the roof and floor (opposite ends) in the shape of a triangle.
cylinder - a prism with the roof and floor (opposite ends) in the shape of a circle.
2D ("2-dimensional") - 2D shapes have height and width.
3D ("3-dimensional") - 3D shapes have height, width, and depth.
net - each unfolded 3D shape forms a net. Each 3D shape has a different net, and some shapes have multiple nets depending on the way you do the unfolding.
What is a prism?
