2025 - 26 Projects 

The international work at FSG is integral to our schools ethos. Our development plan for 2026-2030 clearly outlines the integral importance of our international work to FSG. 

Our main projects for the 2025/26 academic year are: 

• Language Ambassadors 

  • Every single year 8 student plans and delivers a lesson to primary school pupils in our local area. 

• Pen-pals

  • (Year 7 write to Nepal and Tanzania, Year 10 French and Spanish Students write to schools in Sangatte and Alicante respectively) 

• Global Education 

  • Students in Year 9 study once a week to enhance their knowledge of the wider world. Students are specifically focussing this year on the distinctions between migration opinions around the world and the impact of this between the UK, Lebanon and Nepal. 

• Cultural Immersion

  • In october 2025, FSG held its first ever culture day

  • Language lessons took place across the week during lunchtimes, run by 6th form students 

  • A cultural catwalk offered students from different cultures to showcase their cultural dress 

  • Our partnership with CLB (Sangatte) entered its 9th year, with reciprocal exchanges in both countries. Students attend lessons in France and in the UK with distinct comparisons then made between both education systems. Students have fun answering quiz questions in both countries learning more about different locations and each other! The partnership has been a huge success and there are already plans for an even larger celebration for our 10th Anniversary in 2027!

• Cross-curricular projects

  • Our cross curricular projects are now cemented into the curriculum of several subjects across the school. The main focal points are the Dear Freddie and Ministry of Information projects for 2025/26, which now see impact in Years 7,8 and 9. 

Our development plan, below, highlights our continual review of DELTA's within the curriculum, which is of particular importance to our global education scheme. Our work reflects the ethos of truly investing in our students, their outcomes, both at school and in the future and that there is more that unites than divides us.
