Professional Learning
FMPSD Professional Learning opportunities support professional growth resulting in optimum learning for all students. We believe that when our teachers and leaders learn, students succeed.
FMPSD provides Professional Learning Fridays, a Division Professional Development day and additional opportunities for teachers and leaders to collaborate to build professional and collective capacities, in order to support "Doing what’s Best for Kids”.
The watering can symbolizes growth and action, highlighting the importance of nurturing and supporting everyone contributing to student learning.
Provide regular, structured time for teachers and leaders to collaborate, aiming to develop actionable strategies that enhance teaching practices and support student learning.
An annual division-wide learning day focuses on addressing emerging professional needs. Guided by staff feedback, current research, and available resources.
School leaders plan professional learning Fridays based on staff feedback and local school community needs. Visit your schools' website to see their plans. You can access all school sites below.
Teachers continually learn how best to support student growth. They identify their professional needs through feedback opportunities. Engaging staff, and responding to their professional needs, informs how professional learning is designed.
