Lock the Node

Sometimes you build a node exactly the way you want it and don’t want anyone (or even yourself) moving it or changing settings by mistake. That’s where Lock the Node helps.

Once a node is locked, it stays protected until you unlock it again.

What Happens When a Node is Locked?

When a node is locked:

• Settings and content stay protected

• Editing is disabled

• Lock icon appears above the node

• Helps keep flows clean and stable

• Flow owner and users the flow is shared with can still run/execute the node

This is especially useful for shared flows, approved setups, templates, or final versions.

How to Lock a Node

1. Hover over the node

2. Use the top action menu

3. Click the Lock icon

4. Node is now locked

You’ll see the lock state visually on the node.

How to Unlock a Node

1. Hover over the locked node

2. Click the Unlock icon

3. Node becomes editable again

Best Times to Use Lock

Use Lock when:

• A flow is finalized

• You’re sharing with teammates

• Important prompt/settings should not change or seen by others

• Keeping template nodes safe
