Turn Your PSD into Usable Layers
Got a PSD packed with layers that you want to use in Fluidfit?
Layer Splitter makes it easy. Drop in your PSD, and it automatically pulls out every layer — text, images, shapes, and decorations — as individual, ready-to-use elements.
No manual slicing. No exporting layers one by one. Just drop in your PSD and start working.
Layer Splitter reads your PSD and extracts all layers into a structured workflow inside Fluidfit. Each layer comes out separately — text layers as editable text, and visual elements as individual images.
Think of it like unpacking your design so you can work with each piece independently.
Getting started is simple:
Add the Layer Splitter node to your workflow (under the Layers section)
Connect your PSD file as input
Click Extract Layers
Your layers appear automatically — with name, type, and visibility
Use any extracted layer in the next step of your workflow
You’ll see layers clearly listed — Title, Background, elements, Shapes, and more — all ready to use.
Layer Splitter supports a wide range of layer types:
Text layers — extracted as editable text so you can modify copy directly
Shapes and rectangles — pulled out as individual visual elements
Decorative and vector layers — preserved as images
Background layers — captured as-is
Everything comes out neatly organized and ready to plug into your flow.
Layer Splitter handles complex PSDs well, but here are a few helpful tips:
File size: Works with PSD files up to 200MB. For best performance, keep files optimized.
Text styles: Text content is extracted accurately, but some styling (like font size, special tracking or effects) may need a quick tweak.
Font availability: If a font isn’t available in Fluidfit, it falls back to Arial. You can change it afterward.
Multi-artboard PSDs: All layers are extracted into a single workspace so everything stays accessible.
Adjustment layers and masks: These are rasterized to preserve the overall visual appearance.
Layer styles: Effects like shadows or glows may need minor adjustments after extraction.
Name your layers clearly in your PSD before uploading. Layer Splitter keeps the same names, so a well-organized PSD gives you a well-organized workflow.
You can quickly move all extracted layers into Layer Compositor using the common output from Layer Splitter. Just connect the grouped output directly to the input of Layer Compositor, and all layers will be copied automatically.
This saves you from manually collecting images into Media nodes or text into Text nodes one by one.
If you want to process individual layers instead, you can still pick specific images or text from Layer Splitter and connect them to the relevant nodes for further processing.
Layer Splitter removes the friction of getting design assets into Fluidfit. Once your layers are extracted, you’re free to build, automate, and create — fast.
